Elizabeth Smart captor caused hotel ruckus her first night out of prison

One of Elizabeth Smart’s kidnappers turned her first night of freedom into a full-blown Jesus fest — prompting a call to the cops, according to a report Thursday.

Wanda Barzee spent the night at a Salt Lake City hotel after being sprung from prison, where she was holed up 15 years for kidnapping Smart, then 14, from her home with her husband, Brian David Mitchell.

Barzee, 72, belted out religious scriptures and loudly praised Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, a guest in the room next door told TMZ.

A hotel guest called the cops about Barzee’s bizarre behavior, but when officers tried to call the complainant back, no one answered, a law enforcement source told the gossip site. They didn’t send a unit to check it out.

Police were also called for a media disturbance outside the hotel. Responding officers asked reporters to step back.

Barzee’s lawyer said she’s been diagnosed with several mental illnesses.

She’s under federal supervision for the next five years.
