New Jersey bar under investigation after lewd video surfaces

A popular bar in Hoboken is under criminal investigation after a video surfaced online showing a woman mid-sex act on the bar during a wild weekend party, officials said Thursday.

The X-rated clip – apparently taken at The Hub on Saturday night — shows a man performing a sex act on a semi-nude woman, who’s sprawled out on the bar amid a crowd of people as champagne is poured all over her.

Hoboken Police Chief Kenneth Ferrante was horrified over the lewd behavior.

“I saw videos of activity that I never could imagine would occur anywhere, especially in a business open to the public with a liquor license approved by the City of Hoboken and State of New Jersey,” he said in a statement. “To state that this conduct will not be tolerated by the Hoboken Police Department is a major understatement.”

The city’s Mayor Ravi Bhalla also denounced The Hub, a bar and 7,000-square-foot event space located across from the Hoboken train station, for allowing the “horrific objectification of women” and calling the incident an “affront to human decency.”

He vowed to get the venue stripped of its liquor license, which are pricey and extremely hard to come by in the Garden State.

“I will use all my powers as mayor to make sure it never happens in our city again,” Bhalla said in a statement. “Accordingly, I have directed the ABC Prosecutor to vigorously seek the permanent revocation of HUB’s liquor license, the severest penalty available under the law.”

The video was widely shared on social media, including Twitter.

Other videos purportedly taken the same night show half-naked women being groped and penetrated with bottles while being showered with bubbly.

The raucous event was hosted by “The Slut Whisperer,” whose Instagram is followed by 1 million people, according to police’s preliminary investigation.

Kirill Bichutsky, the social media influencer behind the popular account, is infamous for throwing parties in which topless women are doused in champagne.

Bichutsky didn’t immediately return a message.

The Hub promoted his Saturday night shindig on Instagram.

“Ladies never pay a cover,” the post said.

An ABC hearing over The Hub’s liquor license is scheduled for next Thursday. The bar is allowed to remain open until then but with a heavy police presence in the area.

“For any individual who saw the disgraceful acts, and are thinking of coming to a bar in Hoboken to repeat this activity towards women, be assured that you will be arrested if you violate the law,” Ferrante said.

An operating partner of The Hub, who would only identify himself as Marcello, told The Post that the bar is cooperating with the police investigation.

He said the bar was voluntarily closed Thursday and that what was depicted in the videos was “not accurate.”

“Once everything comes to light, anyone’s perception of what actually occurred will change,” he said. “We’re very adamant about that.”
