Tcu (+13) over Ohio State: Urban Meyer will reappear on the sideline in another week, but the Buckeyes need him this Saturday in Arlington, Texas, because coaching wizard Gary Patterson is waiting. TCU can survive if dual-threat QB Shawn Robinson moves the sticks and matches scores with OSU’s high-powered offense. The Buckeyes have totaled 127 points against two cupcake opponents. If they have a soft spot, it’s run defense.
UCLA (Pk) over Fresno State: A humbled Chip Kelly is 0-2 and usually will be the underdog, so the Bruins will be playing with urgency in this spot. The primary reason for hope at UCLA is freshman QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson. This is not an ideal spot for the Bulldogs, who hit the road for the second straight week after a deflating 21-14 loss at Minnesota.
