Browns player provides most ironic Kevin Durant insult

Myles Garrett doesn’t know much about winning.

The former No. 1-overall draft pick has yet to be on the winning end of an NFL game, as the Browns went 0-16 in his rookie year. That didn’t stop him from blasting Kevin Durant for taking the easy way out in a radio appearance Thursday.

“With KD, you just stick him in and he scores,” Garrett said on “The Ken Carmen Show with Anthony Lima” and 92.3 The Fan, via Cleveland.com. “You already knew what they had. They were 73-9 before and you put the second-best player in the world on an all-time great team and of course you’re going to have success, pretty easy success. Anyone can pull an off night and they can still find a way to win.”

Garrett advocated hard caps as a way to prevent super teams from forming, but also felt Durant’s pride should have been enough to stop him from going to Golden State.

“If I were him I would’ve never made a move like that in the first place,” Garrett said. “Me, I’m to competitive to try and ride on somebody’s coat tails to get a W. But for him, you might as well stay at the spot you’re at now. There’s no point in leaving since you’ve already taken that moniker where he’s been called the snake and cupcake and all that. You might as well stay and just keep on winning.”

Just keep on winning. In other words, the opposite of the Browns.
