Woman unleashes racist tirade against Asian nail salon owner

A woman in Florida was caught on video unleashing a hateful, racist rant against an Asian nail salon owner — who didn’t seem to care in the slightest.

“You sound nasty, your language sounds nasty. It actually sounds like you were born out of a f–king hermit crab,” seethed the irate customer, who was reportedly getting a manicure at Bali Nail Spa in Hillsborough County.

“Thank you very much for your advice,” replied the nail shop owner, identified Tuesday as Karen Vu, of Lutz.

“If I wanna go to a nail salon, I want them to talk English so they can understand when I want a godd–n top coat,” the customer seethed.

“Whatever you say,” Vu said sarcastically. “Whatever you say.”

With other clients watching on, Vu continued to work on the woman’s nails — keeping her cool the entire time.

But the shop owner didn’t care.
“If they don’t understand the language they should go back to their own country — period,” the customer proclaimed at one point, even going so far as to call Vu’s language “gross.”

“I don’t mind what she said because she doesn’t have control over her mind,” Vu told ABC Action News.

She said that the woman is a regular and often acts unhinged. That didn’t stop customer Robin L. Roether from jumping in to defend Vu.

“I have to say, I think you’re being pretty nasty,” Roether tells the woman while recording her on video, which she posted to Facebook.

“You don’t call them hermit crabs,” Roether said. “You’re being f–king nasty. Get your ass out.”

The footage of the incident has gone viral — racking up more than 1 million views in just a few days. People have been showing their support for Vu on social media, and some have even decided to drive out of their way to pay her a visit and give her tips.

“I just wanted to come over here, tell them they don’t deserve to be treated the way that they were from that lady or for anyone else for that matter,” said Jennifer Verge, who drove 30 minutes to get to Vu’s nail salon.

Attempts to reach the angry customer by ABC were unsuccessful.
