Woman arrested after video allegedly shows her abusing puppy

A Yonkers woman was arrested on animal cruelty charges after a video showed her violently tossing a puppy onto a porch, cops said.

Kiani Wright, 43, was busted after a good Samaritan told cops she had violently dragged, choked and thrown a pit bull puppy over a staircase handrail, according to Westchester’s Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

“How anyone could be so cruel we will never know,” the organization wrote on their website.

“This poor, defenseless puppy was terrified as she cowered from her abuser, knowing something bad was about to happen to her.”

The SPCA obtained video from a nearby building the showed the assault.

The puppy, Pebbles, was taken to a veterinarian where it was determined that she had suffered a fractured tooth and abrasions on her chin.

Wright was charged with one count of torturing and injuring animals and failure to provide proper sustenance, according to Yonkers police.

The organization was taking donations for the injured animal.
