Goldman Sachs hires execs from BOA unit hit with sex allegations

Goldman Sachs has hired two female executives from an elite Bank of America unit that has been roiled by sex-harassment allegations, The Post has learned.

Goldman in recent weeks tapped Kristin Maule, who had been a sales director in BofA’s prime brokerage unit with 13 years’ experience, and Katie Alberti, a vice president, three people familiar with the hires told The Post.

The hiring follows a string of nine departures from the BofA unit following the termination of Omeed Malik, a former top executive who left the operation amid an internal investigation into alleged sexual harassment.

Neither Maule nor Alberti was said to be involved with the claims against Malik.

Malik has denied the claims and has filed his own arbitration claim alleging discrimination over his race and religion — saying he was fired for blowing the whistle on his boss’ lack of accreditations. BofA has said that its managerial supervision over the unit was “appropriate.”

Maule and Alberti will start next month in Goldman’s Prime Services division, one source said.

A Goldman spokesman declined to comment. A BofA spokeswoman wasn’t immediately available to comment, but told the Financial Times that departures in the beginning of the year are common and the bank’s prime brokerage unit has hired 11 new people
