Two armed bystanders fatally shot restaurant gunman: cops

Two armed bystanders fatally shot a man who opened fire at an Oklahoma restaurant, police said Friday.

Carlos Nazario and Bryan Wittle were outside of Louie’s On The Lake, a gastropub in Oklahoma City, when they gunned down 28-year-old Alexander Tilghman — who had just shot three people inside the restaurant Thursday evening, according to a police report cited by KUTV.

Tilghman — who was licensed to carry a gun as an armed security guard — wounded a 39-year-old woman and two juvenile girls at around 6:30 p.m. before the citizens shot him dead, according to the police report.

Police said Friday that Tilghman drove to the restaurant and wore protective gear for his ears and eyes.

“[It] looked like his mind was made up that he was going to discharge his firearm once he got there,” a police spokesman said.

Tilghman appeared to have chosen his victims at random.

All three victims were rushed to a hospital and are were in good condition Friday, according to the local station

During the chaos, an unnamed man fell and broke his arm while fleeing, according to a statement from police.

Cops were expected to hold press conference about the incident Friday.
