Daughter witnessed mom’s deranged boyfriend stab her to death

A Bronx grandma was stabbed to death early Saturday by her deranged live-in boyfriend, police said — leaving her bereft family planning to break the news of the murder to the grandchildren on Mother’s Day.

“I have no more tears left,” Terean Wilkins, 39, told The Post in an exclusive interview at the Morris Heights building where, less than a day before, her mom, Sheila Williams, 60, was killed.

“I have to keep strong for the children.”

Responding officers were able to tase Tyrone Crawley, 67, as he tried to jump out of a bedroom window, police said.

Wilkins, 39, visited her mother’s apartment — with her three-month-old daughter as well as her 12, 10 and 6-year-old nieces in tow — at around midnight Saturday, and thought nothing of seeing Crawley snoozing in a chair.

But at around 1 a.m. he suddenly jumped out of the chair and began speaking unintelligibly, Wilkins said.

“It was gibberish,” she continued. “I didn’t understand what he was saying. He looked funny. He kept licking his lips.”

Then he went to the door — opening and closing it repeatedly and looking outside. At one point, as the mother and daughter tried the close the door, he stuck his foot inside and jammed it, Wilkins said.

“My mother went back in the bedroom and he went in behind her,” Wilkins recalled. “He pushed her down. She tried to get up and he pushed her back down. He was still mumbling.”

“Get off my mother!’ ” Wilkins screamed. “I thought he was punching her . . . but he was stabbing her.”

Horrified, Wilkins — who lives in the same building — rushed the kids away from the horror.

When cops arrived at 1:54 a.m., they found Crawley standing over Williams’ bloody body, according to police sources.

The grandmother of eight had stab wounds to her neck and legs and was pronounced dead at the scene. The weapon — which Wilkins said was a folding knife Crawley often carried attached to his belt — has not yet been recovered.

Crawley was charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter, three counts of assault, four counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

“I was planning on taking her and the grandkids out” for Mother’s Day, Wilkins said. “We were going to get her favorite seafood, crabs, in New Jersey,” she said, sadly, “and come back and take the kids out for pizza and ice cream.”
