Pregnant woman sent chilling text to mom before slaying

Three people were arrested in the murder of a pregnant Oklahoma woman who sent an ominous text in her final moments, according to reports.

Shaliyah Toombs, 23, was allegedly choked to death in Oklahoma City shortly after she texted her mom a message while in distress that read, “they’re going to kill me mom. help me,” The Oklahoman reported.

Toombs, who was seven months pregnant, was reported missing April 29 when her mom received her final, chilling text. Authorities said her body was discovered three days later in the back of a pickup truck parked along the highway.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation announced Tuesday that three suspects were arrested in connection to her death. They were identified as Joshua Finkbeiner, Staci Harjo and Daniel Vasquez.

Finkbeiner and Harjo were arrested on suspicion of murder while Vasquez is accused of being accessory after the fact.

Deputies traced Finkbeiner and Harjo to Cleburne County, Arkansas, where they are being held until they are extradited.
