Cowboys star to Giants: Please keep Eli Manning

ARLINGTON, Texas — Dave Gettleman had at least one big fan in Dallas as he passed on drafting a quarterback Thursday night by taking Saquon Barkley with the No. 2 pick.

Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence made his preference known Thursday afternoon that he would like Eli Manning to stay under center, trolling the Giants with a tweet that included two pictures of him harassing the quarterback.

“Here’s to the @Giants NOT drafting a QB,” Lawrence tweeted with the hashtags “ILikeEli” and “KeepEli.”

Lawrence has 23.5 sacks during his four-year career, though only 1.5 have actually come against the Giants.

Still, the 2017 Pro Bowler made it clear he preferred chasing the 37-year-old Manning instead of a rookie QB like Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen.

Be careful what you wish for, DeMarcus who will now have to contend with trying to bring down Barkley, as the electric and evasive running back will team with Odell Beckham Jr. in the Giants offense.
