Has Packers receiver Trevor Davis learned nothing from Ben Stiller in “Meet the Parents”?
The 2016 fifth-round draft pick was arrested Sunday morning at LAX, after joking about smuggling a bomb into his luggage, according to TMZ.
Davis, 24, was reportedly at the Hawaiian Airlines ticketing counter with a female friend prior to boarding. While being quizzed about his luggage, Davis allegedly asked his traveling companion, “Did you remember to pack the explosives?” Police sources told the gossip site the woman in question replied, “Yes.”
Authorities reportedly took Davis into custody for misdemeanor criminal threats. He has reportedly been released.
“The Packers are aware of the matter involving Trevor Davis,” the team said in a statement Monday morning, per ESPN.com. “We are in the process of gathering more information and will refrain from making any further comment as it is an ongoing legal matter.”
