Superhero monk punctures glass with a needle

That’s one way to thread the needle.

A slow-motion video of a Shaolin monk puncturing a pane of glass with a needle has gone viral.

YouTube stars Gavin Free and Daniel Gruchy, known as the Slow-Mo Guys, invited three monks to be a part of their video series. In the video, a monk hurls a needle into a pane of glass with a balloon behind it — and manages to pop the balloon.

According to Shaolin monks, it takes up to a decade to master this move and be able to channel all their energy into the right place.

The Internet’s enjoying the result of their labors. “If you learn this. you’re a [gangster],” writes one Twitter user.
