Tour bus crashes in Times Square

A double-decker tour bus crashed into a meat truck near Times Square Wednesday morning, sending three patients to the hospital, police said.

The TopView Bus, which allows tourists to hop on and off at various landmarks across the city, made contact with the back of a Pat LaFrieda meat purveyor truck just before 9 a.m. on West 46th Street, according to photos of the incident and police.

Officials said there were no serious injuries from the accident but three people were sent to the hospital—one to Lenox Hill and two to Bellevue.

Two passengers had minor injuries and a third had slightly more serious injuries.

The crash happened across the street from the Richard Rodgers Theatre where Hamilton is shown. A large group of children were outside waiting to see the play at the time of the crash but none of them were injured in the process.
