Airplane trying to land bounces off runway in scary video

Talk about a hair-raising landing.

Crosswinds were so strong in Austria that a Salzburg-bound flight literally bounced off the tarmac when trying to land.

The Enter Air plane was forced to return to its point of origin in Germany after the high winds brought by Storm Herwart on October 29 caused the right wing to drop upon descent, in turn causing the plane to hit the tarmac hard before regaining altitude.

According to a report in the Aviation Herald, the plane performed a go-around but was forced to return to Frankfurt.

Footage of the tense landing was filmed from the ground by an onlooker, where you can see the plane rebound off the tarmac with such force that smoke comes from the wheels.

Several cities reported states of emergency during the severe weekend storm, which killed at least five people.
