Cop who flashed girls faced ‘similar allegation’ before: prosecutor

An NYPD cop accused of flashing two little girls in The Bronx had a “similar allegation” previously made against him, a prosecutor said at the officer’s arraignment Tuesday.

Bronx Housing Officer Adam Fridson, 43, stood silently with a blank look on his face, uncuffed and wearing a black wind breaker and dark shirt and pants, for the proceeding.

Bronx Assistant District Attorney Allison Riesel described how Fridson, “after getting off work and driving by, saw two young children on a public street on their way to Bible school” on the afternoon of Oct. 11.

The girls were ages 7 and 12, she said.

“The entire incident is caught on videotape. He pulled over. He was caught on video unzipping his fly and removing his penis before approaching the two young girls,” the prosecutor said.

The incident was immediately reported to the 45th Precinct, Riesel said, adding that Fridson was identified in a photo array.

She said a “similar allegation has been made against this defendant in the past, and the department is investigating,” but she did not elaborate.

Fridson’s lawyer, Richard Murray, said his client is married with two children and has been a police office for almost 13 years.

Riesel asked for $10,000 bail for Fridson. Judge Patsy Gouldbourne set his bail at $5,000 cash or bond.
