Off-duty firefighter gets into brawl leaving strip club

An off-duty firefighter was hurt early Saturday after he got into a fight as he left a notorious Staten Island strip club — the same place that a New Jersey cop was reportedly partying before he set off a fatal wrong way crash two years ago, authorities said.

The 32-year-old smoke eater, whose name was not released, was leaving the Xcess Gentlemen’s Club on Arthur Kill Road around 4 a.m. when the assault occurred, police said.

He was taken to Staten Island University Hospital South with bumps and bruises, police said.

Xcess, formerly known as Curves, is the same spot where ex-Linden, N.J., police officer Pedro Abad Jr., drank before he drove the wrong way down the Staten Island Expressway and slammed head-on into a big rig in March of 2015 — killing two of his passengers, fellow cop Frank Viggiano and friend Joseph Rodriguez.

He was convicted of vehicular manslaughter in May and now faces up to 25 years in prison.
