Call it a comfort food combo.
Sola Pasta Bar, from Michelin-starred chef Massimo Sola, has launched in Soho at 330 West Broadway, across from Mamo, which Sola helped open in 2015.
The chef also has a deal to open a flagship space in the Financial District on Beekman Street, according to a spokesman.
Think pasta, prepared and served performance style, with chefs cooking and serving from an island in the center of the restaurant.
Sola was formerly head chef at Eataly’s flagship location in Rome, overseeing 70 chefs. He is currently scouting additional neighborhoods, including NoMad and the West Village, to open additional locations.
On West Broadway, the 1,500-square-foot space seats 42 — 16 at the kitchen counter, another 10 at a communal table and 16 more at banquette tables along a wall.
