Robber held up dollar store to steal candy bars: cops

A pony-tailed Bronx chocoholic went to extreme measures to satisfy his craving — he threatened a clerk with a box-cutter to swipe 15 Hershey’s chocolate bars, police said Friday.

The robber held up from the Family Dollar store on the Cross Bronx Expressway near Gleason Avenue on Aug. 26 around 7 p.m.

“I should cut you,” the robber threatened, holding a box-cutter. He grabbed the candy, then fled the scene.

Police describe the man as approximately 20 years old, 5-foot-10 and 130 pounds with long black hair in a pony tail. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored ‘HARLEM’ sweatshirt and blue jeans with his hair in a pony-tail.
