This is what happens when you try to carjack football players

An alleged carjacker was beaten to a pulp by a trio of amateur football players in New Mexico after the thug tried to steal their car, according to a report.

Angelo Drew Martinez, 20, had asked the players for a ride while at the Loma Linda Community Center football field in Albuquerque on Aug. 11, Fox News reported.

The three men agreed and as Martinez was in the car with the men, he allegedly pulled a fake gun on them, demanding they get out of the vehicle, according to police.

Once the players got out of the car, Martinez reportedly fumbled with the faux weapon and one of the men went back in the car and punched him in the face, according to the news outlet.

The two other men joined in, beating Martinez and restraining him until cops arrived.

Martinez was armed with a knife and had a note that read: “Give me the keys to your wip and a nobody get heart. I know where you live so don’t make me kill,” Fox News reported.

Cops charged the suspect with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempt to commit a felony.

In his mugshot, snapped the night of his arrest, Martinez is seen with both eyes swollen shut along with cuts on his face.

According to the news outlet, Martinez has a criminal record that includes offenses for car theft and shoplifting.
