Woman claims school superintendent sought threesome, groped her

A woman is suing the city’s Department of Education and a fired Queens public school superintendent, claiming that he groped her and made disgusting sexual advances on the job for four years.

The anonymous victim filed the lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court against Lenon Murray, 56, who was arrested in late May and has since been fired from his position as superintendent of District 29.

Murray was arrested for allegedly touching the woman’s breasts on May 2 and grabbing her butt on April 19 at P.S. 181.

The Manhattan civil suit claims Murray — who became a community superintendent in 2007, and made a salary of $174,680 before he was canned — groped her more than 10 times since 2013.

He also pressed her and other employees for a threesome and spoke to her in a sexually inappropriate way on a near daily basis, according to the civil complaint.

“The conduct by Mr. Murray started in 2013 on almost a daily basis with sexual solicitations and sexual talk,” wrote the plaintiff’s lawyer Stewart Lee Karlin.

The 34-year-old woman — who worked out of P.S. 35 in Hollis — also recalled Murray allegedly summoning her into his office five different times, each time showing her his laptop that was playing porn.

Each time, he’d unzip his pants and expose himself to her, according to the lawsuit.

While the plaintiff insisted she said “no” to all of Murray’s advances, according to the lawsuit, she did say “yes” once – to driving him to a Weight Watchers location.

Court papers also listed a series of disgusting remarks allegedly made by Murray, including, “I want to put my manhood in your mound,” and “I want to lick it, I want to see it.”

The lawsuit claims that the acting superintendent Beverly Mitchell has let Murray come to school property since his arrest and stated her support for him.

Mitchell has “proclaimed his innocence and that she stands with him and speaks to him every day,” according to the civil action.

Murray, Mitchell and their lawyers did not immediately return calls for comment.

A rep for the city Law Department said the lawsuit is being “reviewed” but offered no further comment.

A Department of Education spokesman didn’t dispute allegations in the lawsuit: “Mr. Murray’s alleged behavior is deeply troubling and he was immediately terminated in May 2017 following his arrest.”
