White House to televise first press briefing in weeks

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders will conduct an on-camera press briefing at 2 p.m. Friday – the first to be televised since June 29, according to NBC News.

She will face reporters just hours after Sean Spicer abruptly resigned as press secretary.

He quit Friday morning after clashing with President Trump over his appointment of Manhattan financier Anthony Scaramucci as communications chief.

The White House has come under fire by the press for holding camera-free press briefings.
