Bottle-smashing rampage at bodega

An angry customer at a Bronx deli shatters a beer bottle across a man’s face during an argument at the counter, video released by police on Thursday shows.

The two men are seen in the footage talking to each other inside the Gourmet Deli on Burhre Ave. near Hobart Ave. in Pelham Bay as the suspect is paying for his beer around 1:40 a.m. May 23.

The attacker then walks out of the store, but quickly walks back to confront the victim in the doorway — bottle in hand.

That’s when he winds up and smashes the bottle across the man’s face.

The victim was not seriously hurt and was treated for cuts and bruises at Jacobi Medical Center, officials said.

The suspect is described as being around 50-years-old, stands approximately 5-foot-7 and weighs roughly 250 pounds. He is also balding and has a ponytail, police said.
