‘Toilet paper lips’ are the latest bizarre beauty trend

Hilarious YouTuber Saifya Nygaard is up to her old tricks again testing out the latest weird trend to hit the web.

The vlogger previously went out wearing the world’s ugliest swimsuit and challenged herself to wear the “ugliest jeans ever” in a recent challenge.

Now she’s teamed up with fellow YouTuber Candace Lowry to test out the toilet paper lip art trend.

The duo were inspired by beauty Instagrammer Gretta Agazzi, who has showcased the daring and impractical look.

The started by trying to replicate the lip-look with eyelash glue, lip gloss and toilet roll.

Safiya said: “It’s almost looks like she’s got bare lips and then she’s got the toilet paper crinkled on her lips and then she puts the iridescent stuff over it.”

They peeled apart the layers of toilet paper and applied to their faces in a rather unpolished fashion.

The vlogger said: “It’s funny because toilet paper is usually on another side of your body on a different set of lips.”

The first comment the duo made after completing the striking look was how hard it was to smile with the glue set on their lips.

The pair hit the streets to see what the public thought of their unique style.

The overwhelming response was that it wasn’t a look the general public would go for.

One person commented: “Sounds uncomfortable.”

While another said: “You look like you’re struggling to talk right now.”

Another added: “I don’t think I would do that but the glitter’s good.”

Having polled a number of people the YouTubers had to accept that the look hadn’t gone down well.

Safiya said: “I think as soon as you say the word toilet paper, people are like oh I don’t want that.”

Next up the dup attempted to eat with the facial adornments, an exercise which wasn’t a resounding success.

Safiya said: “As we eat the toilet paper gets wetter and doesn’t start peeling off but just starts disintegrating slowly. “

With the project a reasoning failure, Safiya and Candace called it a day and peeled the bright coloured lip glue, toilet roll cover off.

Safiya said: “It was very satisfying to peel off, but honestly it could be worth it just to peel it off.

“For fun this gets a 10/10 outside opinions and tests this gets like a zero.”
