Rodarte says it’s chic to just stick a bush on your head

Just when you think flower crowns are over, leave it to Laura and Kate Mulleavy, designers of indie label Rodarte, to breathe new life into the romantic trend.

For their spring 2018 collection, the sisters Mulleavy sent models down a lush runway that channeled a garden party.

Models paraded around in disheveled flower crowns made from bushes of baby’s breath. Some models donned flower crowns that extended all the way down their arms; other catwalkers sported whimsical shawls made from the tiny blooms.

The standout look, however, came from a model in a fuzzy, pink dress with matching pants and a full-on flower mane. No neck, no hair — just a floating head surrounded by a wreath of baby’s breath.

Who needs practical accessories, anyway?
