North Korea detains fourth US citizen

North Korea announced Sunday that it has detained yet another US citizen — the fourth now in the Hermit Kingdom’s custody.

Kim Hak-song was detained for “hostile acts” on Saturday, the state-run Korean Central News Agency reported, according to Yonhap News.

Kim has been working at the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology — the same college employing US citizen Kim Sang Dok, who the country detained last month for the same vague crime.

Pyongyang is still investigating Kim’s crimes, the Korean Central News Agency reported.

“The relevant authority is currently carrying out a detailed investigation into the crime of Kim Hak-song,” it said.

Four Americans are now believed to be in North Korean custody, CNN reports.

Otto Warmbier was sentenced to 15 years in a prison camp in 2016 for trying to steal a political banner, and Kim Dong Chul was arrested in 2015 for spying.
