‘Dora the Explorer’ panhandler arrested for harassing woman

A Times Square panhandler dressed as Dora the Explorer was arrested Friday when she aggressively grabbed a woman and forced her into taking a photo, police said.

The costumed menace was pestering passersby for tips in front of Madame Tussauds on West 42nd St. between Seventh and Eighth avenues when she locked onto the 46-year-old victim.

The panhandler, identified as 49-year-old Eleuteria Perez, allegedly blocked the woman’s path as she tried to make her way down the sidewalk and aggressively put her arms around her while insisting she take a photo with her, police said.

Police arrested Perez, a Passaic, NJ resident, and charged her with aggressive solicitation and harassment — both violations, police said.
