Gunman shoots innocent bystander in her stomach

An innocent bystander was shot in the stomach when a gunman opened fire during a fight in Brooklyn Monday evening, authorities said.

Kisha Halt, 43, just happened to be in the area when the brawl started near the corner of Thomas S. Boyland Street and Pitkin Avenue in Brownsville at around 6:45 p.m.

During the melee, a man pulled out a gun and fired, grazing Halt in the abdomen, police said.

She was taken to Kings County Hospital in serious but stable condition.

Cops said she heard a single shot and then buckled over in pain. She was expected to recover, police said.

The suspect, who is believed to be in his 20s and was wearing a gray sweatsuit, is still on the loose.
