EU head tries wild threat to stop Trump from praising Brexit

The head of the European Union on Thursday said he would call for Austin, Texas and Ohio to secede from the US if President Trump doesn’t stop yapping in praise of the UK’s decision to leave the EU.

“Brexit isn’t the end. A lot of people would like it that way, even people on another continent where the newly elected US President was happy that the Brexit was taking place and has asked other countries to do the same,” Jean-Claude Juncker said.

“If he goes on like that I am going to promote the independence of Ohio and Austin, Texas in the US.”

The explosive threat came as tensions between the US and much of the EU were on the rise, with Trump slamming NATO allies for supposedly not ponying up enough cash and criticizing EU members’ immigration policies.

The EU president, speaking at the center-right European People Party’s annual conference in Malta, pulled no punches in attacking Trump’s disdain for the US European allies.

Team Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
