Red Sox land Chris Sale in blockbuster deal

Another offseason, another big-name lefty headed to the Red Sox.

Boston acquired Chris Sale from the White Sox on Tuesday for top prospects Yoan Moncada and Michael Kopech, along with the two others, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed, in an aggressive swap that installs the Red Sox as the early American League favorites for 2017.

The big Red Sox splash last offseason was signing David Price, who had an up-and-down first season in Boston. Now he’ll be paired with Sale atop a potentially devastating rotation. The Red Sox also have reigning 2016 AL Cy Young winner Rick Porcello.

The 27-year-old Sale went 17-10 with a 3.34 ERA for the rebuilding White Sox last season. The five-time All-Star has three years and a very reasonable $38 million remaining on his contract.
