It’s not beginning to look a lot like Christmas in boring Oculus

It’s a blandly white Christmas at the Oculus, where World Trade Center mall management has kept the soaring but spare public space’s halls decidedly undecked.

“At least 10 times a day, I get asked by customers why there are no Christmas decorations in here,” groused one mall employee, who noted the nearby Brookfield Place mall “is full of holiday decorations.”

Aside from a nightly light show debuting Thursday night, not a snowflake was stirring.

“Super sterile,” scoffed manager Sarah Schoffstall at Vince Camuto.

“I love Christmas and the holiday decorations — that’s why we came to New York,” said disappointed German tourist Ulli Vogel, 31. “It’s a bit shocking.”

Asked about the lack of decorations, mall managers Westfield Corp. touted the light show.

A spokesman for the Port Authority, which owns the space, said mall management is free to display any decor it wishes, as long as it poses no safety hazard.
