They call themselves the Sky High Idiots and critics say the name is the most accurate description for them, especially given their recent online stunt: filming a teenage girl train surfing in nothing but her underwear.

It’s one of a string of stunts from the Melbourne “gang,” who have told various news organizations, “we’ve all accepted that everyone’s going to die one day, there’s no reason to be concerned about it.”

The footage of the scantily-clad girl clinging to and posing on the back of a speeding Melbourne train carriage in only a bra, underpants, sneakers and with her face partially covered, is far from a one-off.

The group’s videos often feature young people, faces covered, on the backs of trains or on top of them, and they boast about their dangerous stunts.

They are willing to risk death and ignore the warnings from those who try to stop them. The teens also face a $59 fine if they are caught.

And they appear to relish the attention and criticism, pasting television news reports condemning their exploits with relish on their Facebook page.

“It’s completely our decision and if we want to risk our lives doing that then it’s what we’re going to do,” one of the group told 9News in the wake of another stunt in which a youth rode on the roof of a train as it sped through a tunnel — his head only a few feet from the top of the tunnel.

“[Our] parents aren’t really too thrilled about it but it’s not going to stop us.”

The group is being investigated by police.

Three teens have died in the last four years while riding on the outside of trains.
