Landlord murder suspect’s ex-girlfriend surprises him in court

The accused killer of Brooklyn landlord Menachem Stark had a surprise visit from his baby mama Wednesday, when she took the stand against him in his felony murder trial.

The usually stone-faced Kendel Felix slipped into an expression of shock and consternation when his attorney, Jack Goldberg, leaned in and whispered that his ex would be appearing in court.

The two, who were together for five years, share a 6-year-old daughter. They split before Jan. 2014, when Felix is accused of taking part in a botched robbery and kidnapping that left the developer dead.

Felix avoided turning to stare when Nathalia Charles clattered into the courtroom, but couldn’t keep his eyes off her during her short testimony.

Wearing a short skirt, suit jacket and blue suede slingback heels, an unsure Charles hesitated before entering the witness well.

She remained reserved on the stand, taking yet another pause before revealing her age as 39.

Charles told jurors she and Felix, though separated, had a cordial relationship and were co-parenting before his arrest.

She also told jurors she spoke to Felix the night he’s believed to have abducted Stark, but couldn’t recall what they’d talked about.

Charles gave Felix a small, curt smile before stepping down, and timidly leaving the courtroom.

Felix faces 50 years to life in prison if convicted.

The trial continues Wednesday.
