The former rental home of late acclaimed actor Philip Seymour Hoffman — in fact, the apartment where he was found dead with a needle still in his arm — has undergone a price chop, The Post has learned.
Located at 35 Bethune St. in the West Village, this 1,100-square-foot pad hit the rental market in July asking $10,250 per month, as The Post revealed. Now, the spread has been cut by $255 to a “mere” $9,995 monthly, StreetEasy shows.
Hoffman moved into this two-bedroom in the fall of 2013. Just one month after his February 2014 mixed-drug overdose, this fourth-floor home came online asking a cool $10,500 monthly, as The Post reported at the time.
Available for its next resident on Sept. 15, this corner apartment comes with some improvements. The strip-oak floors have been refinished, there’s a new refrigerator, as well as new lighting, the listing notes.
Additional features include 10-foot wood-beamed ceilings and a woodburning fireplace in the living area. There are also nine oversize windows that let in natural light.
