Trump tries to clarify stance on immigration — again

Donald Trump took another crack at clarifying his immigration policy Monday night.

“We are going to obey the existing laws. The existing laws are very strong. The existing laws, the first thing we are going to do if and when I win is we are going to get rid of all of the bad ones,” Trump told Fox News.

“We have gang members. We have killers. We have a lot of bad people that have to get out of this country. We are going to get them out. And the police know who they are.”

Multiple reports said Trump would give a speech on immigration on Thursday in Colorado — but his campaign abruptly canceled. Trump also pulled out of a Friday rally in Las Vegas and an Aug. 31 rally and fundraiser in Portland, Ore.
