Police are searching for two suspects in the theft of a pet rabbit from a home in the Crotona Park area. The crooks entered the apartment in the vicinity of Crotona Park East and 174th Street through an unlocked front door at about 6 p.m. on June 27, police said. Once inside, they removed a metal bracelet, a passport and the bunny, which was still in its cage, and then fled. One suspect, who is approximately 5-foot-11 and sports long braids, was spotted carrying the cage.

A 23-year-old man was clocked in the head with a handgun when two people robbed him in Morrisania, cops said. The two robbers approached the man at about 8 p.m. on July 13 in front of 1041 Prospect Ave., police said. One of the crooks then hit the victim on his head with a handgun and grabbed his Android cellphone. The second took his wallet, which had no money inside. Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the young man to an area hospital for pain and swelling to his ear. He was in stable condition.

Police want to talk to two men in connection with a gold-chain theft at a Mount Hope subway station. The crooks snatched an 18-year-old man’s gold chain from around his neck at about 10:15 a.m. July 26 on the No. 4 train platform at the Burnside Avenue station. Both crooks then fled down the stairs onto Jerome Avenue. One of the suspects was described as between 18 and 20 years old, 5-foot-7 and 170 to 180 pounds. He was wearing gray shorts and no shirt. The other suspect was between 19 and 21 years old, 5-foot-8 and between 150 and 165 pounds. He was wearing gray pants and black sneakers with no shirt.

Brooklyn

A thief snatched a 19-year-old man’s bag from a Sunset Park subway platform as the victim was standing about 10 feet away, police said. The straphanger had left his bag on a bench as he waited for the D train at the Ninth Avenue station at about 11:30 a.m. on July 14, cops said. As the train entered the station, located at 39th Street, the victim returned to the bench to collect his bag and discovered that it had been stolen. The thief was seen on surveillance video exiting the subway with the victim’s bag, which contained an iPhone S5 and charger, keys, a pair of red shorts and a white T-shirt. The crook stands 5-foot-5 and has brown eyes and black hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt with “California” written on the front, blue jeans and white sneakers.

Manhattan

Police were investigating a report of shots fired Thursday morning in East Harlem. A security guard at 330 E. 115th St. told police he heard about three gunshots coming from outside the building at about 3 a.m. Patrol officers from the 23rd Precinct responded, and investigators found five .22-caliber shell casings in front of the building. There were no injuries.

Queens

A man forcibly grabbed a 19-year-old woman’s buttocks, police said. Cops were looking for a man, who they say struck as the woman walked in front of 31-36 14th St. in Astoria at about 6 p.m. on July 24. The attacker is described as about 25 years old, 5-foot-5 and weighing about 140 pounds.
