Diddy selling massive NJ estate at a steep discount

It took close to a decade — nine years and three months — but hip-hop music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is finally in contract to sell his massive, gated mansion in Alpine, NJ, Gimme Shelter reports exclusively.

The home, at 207 Anderson Ave., first went on the market for $8.99 million in March, 2007.

By 2011, it still hadn’t sold, but was asking $13.5 million. It is now in contract for well under its most recent asking price of $7.98 million. The contract was signed earlier this month.

Our spy says the house is big, on over 3 acres, but it took a decade to sell because it was overpriced and in a “C” area of Alpine, near small homes in the $700,000 range.

Combs lived there briefly before handing it over to his baby mama.

The seven-bedroom, 9½-bathroom home comes with a mahogany-paneled library, a home theater, basketball court and gym.

There’s also an aquarium, putting green, tennis court and pool with waterfalls, according to the listing.

Combs bought the mansion for $6 million in 2004, with the help of a $3.9 million mortgage.

Meanwhile Combs’ 66th-floor skypad at the Park Imperial, at 230 W. 56th St., is still lingering on the market for $6.5 million.

It was first asking $8.5 million back in 2012. Combs had better luck renting his Hamptons beach house, where he once held his famed “white parties.”

That manse was quickly snapped up as a $200,000 summer rental, as we previously reported.
