Zits are so hot right now

Ditch the Proactive and say “hell no” to the Neutrogena, kids, because this season, pimples are in.

Well, not really — but at least one man is bringing acne vulgaris to the fashion forefront.

For his debut collection at Milan men’s fashion week on Monday, Moto Guo had his models’ faces painted with a coat of fiery zits and other blemishes you may recall waging war against in middle school. Predictably, news of this got the Internet poppin’.

Malaysian designer Guo — who was recently shortlisted for the prestigious LVMH prize — has yet to offer any exegesis, but Roberta Betti, the show’s makeup artist, revealed on Instagram that only two products were used to create the look: MAC lip liner in mahogany and MAC eye pencil in coffee.

Or so she says. Given the industry’s pubescent casting pool, we wouldn’t be too surprised if a number of those lovely faces were in fact au naturel.
