A tree branch toppled onto a man and woman outside Yankee Stadium on Sunday afternoon, sending them to the hospital, police and fire officials said.
The injured pair were taken to Lincoln Hospital with minor injuries after the branch fell at about 1 p.m. Their identities and ages weren’t immediately released.
The Yankees were holding their 70th annual Old Timers’ Day at the Stadium. Many former players and coaches were expected to be honored, including Hall of Famers Whitey Ford, Goose Gossage, Rickey Henderson, Reggie Jackson, and Joe Torre.
