A flurry of gunshots fired between police and a gunman were captured in a haunting video recorded by a witness of the grisly Florida nightclub shooting on Sunday night.

“Gunfire exchanged at #pulse nightclub hostage situation in #Orlando,” Nic Hornstein wrote when posting the terrifying footage from what has been deemed the largest mass shooting in US history and the worst terror attack since 9/11.

At least 50 innocent victims died at the hands of gunman Omar Mateen when he opened fire at Pulse, a popular gay club in Orlando, police sources told The Post. Manteen died after he was shot by police who arrived on the scene.

Police say 53 were injured in the bloodbath, but the emotional pain caused by the trauma is affecting countless more.

Mateen was a U.S. citizen with no apparent criminal history was born to Afghan parents in New York in 1986 and was living in Port St. Lucie, Fla., according to multiple media reports.

He was licensed to work as a security guard in the state of Florida, federal law enforcement sources said.

California Rep. Adam Schiff claims that prior to the attack, Manteen “made a pledge of allegiance to ISIS,” according to CNN.

“The fact that this shooting took place during Ramadan and that ISIS leadership in Raqqa has been urging attacks during this time, that the target was an LGBT nightclub during (LGBT) Pride (month) and, if accurate, that according to local law enforcement the shooter declared his allegiance to ISIS, indicates an ISIS-inspired act of terrorism,” Schiff added.

Mir Seddique, shooter Omar Seddique Mateen’s father, told NBC News that the slaughter at Pulse in Orlando “has nothing to do with religion,” and that he recently became angered after seeing two men kissing.
