New Yorkers slam attempt to keep Sunday brunch dry

Mimo-sa to upstate killjoy: Shut up and drink up!

That’s the word from Gotham residents to Assemblyman Robin Schimminger, who is trying to put a cork in a bill that would allow Sunday alcohol sales before noon.

On Columbus Avenue on Saturday, brunch patrons at Tarallucci E Vino didn’t understand what the stir was about. “People should be able to do whatever they want,” said Upper West Side resident Aaron Sokolik, 33.

“I think we have bigger fish to fry,” said Caroline Cooper, 37, of Manhattan.
