Man dies in crash with SUV

A 20-year-old man was killed when an SUV rammed into his car in Brooklyn late Friday, cops said.

A 2016 black Ford Explorer SUV was speeding as it headed north on Georgia Avenue in East New York before it collided with a 2001 silver Toyota Sienna heading east at the intersection of Livonia and Georgia avenues at about 10 p.m., police said.

A passenger in the Toyota, Saber Mohammed, was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he later died, cops said.

The 32-year-old driver, who was not identified, was in stable condition with neck and back pain.

Christopher Cates, 29, the driver of the SUV, allegedly attempted to flee, but was quickly apprehended, cops said. He was hit with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, marijuana possession and other charges, cops said.

His 21-year-old passenger, Janpoll Ramos-Colon, was charged with marijuana possession.
