Brittney Griner’s ex-wife is dating a man

Glory Johnson, the WNBA player who found herself in the spotlight during a brief marriage to star Brittney Griner that included domestic abuse allegations from both sides, has found love again – with a member of the opposite sex.

The 25-year-old Johnson, who plays for the Dallas Wings, is now dating 30-year-old Christopher Fry, according to Daily Mail Online. Fry lives in Seymour, Tenn., a short drive from Johnson’s parents’ home in Knoxville, Tenn.

Social media activity depicts the lovebirds together since February, but Fry’s parents now have confirmed to the Daily Mail Online that they are together. “He’s with her in Texas,” Bill Fry said.

Johnson and Griner were arrested last April on suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct after police were called to their suburban Phoenix home to break up a domestic disturbance. Officers observed “minor physical injuries” on both women, and they were suspended by the WNBA for seven games each.

The couple was married the following month. Johnson wore a gown selected on the TLC series “Say Yes to the Dress.”

They split in June after a 28-day marriage, but not before announcing Johnson was pregnant through IVF treatment with her eggs and a donor’s sperm. Johnson gave birth to twin girls in October.

During a messy separation, Griner — one of the WNBA’s most recognizable players and a gay pioneer in big-time American sports — filed for an annulment of the marriage, alleging in court documents that Johnson cheated on her during their engagement with an ex-boyfriend.

Johnson subsequently attempted to receive spousal support from Griner, but an Arizona judge denied the request.

“I feel relieved and thankful now that this stressful situation is coming to an end. I was honest throughout this entire painful experience, and I have no regrets. Now, I feel like I am finally free to focus on the things in my life that really matter,” Johnson said at the time in a statement to People magazine.

Fry has his own controversial past. Last year, he was convicted of reckless driving after admitting to cops he had been drag racing along a highway. Two people were reportedly hospitalized with injuries and one car involved was left in a horrifying wreck.
