Johnny Manziel’s latest strategy to rehabbing his image: puppies.
The trainwreck of a quarterback, who was indicted by a Dallas grand jury Tuesday, was spotted in Ohio the same day during a venture to an Apple store. And while his hard-partying posse didn’t tag along this time, an adorable pooch sure did.
While it’s unclear if the pet is a fellow patron’s or Manziel’s, the 23-year-old has used cuddly canines to deflect ongoing personal dramas before.
Following his roadside run-in with the cops last October, in which Manziel and then girlfriend Colleen Crowley engaged in a domestic dispute, the former Brown took to social media to not only apologize for the incident, but to introduce fans to the newest member of his clan.
“Love the newest addition to the family #Chubbs,” Manziel wrote on Instagram.
Chubbs would later nab a co-star credit in the great Manziel alibi of 2016. After rumors surfaced that the Heisman Trophy winner fled to Vegas under the alias of Billy ahead of Cleveland’s final game of the year, Manziel later posted a selfie with the pup using the Avon, Ohio geotag to confirm that he never crossed state lines.
