‘I love that guy’: Trump on man who passed out at rally

Donald Trump rallies are not for the faint of heart.

The Republican front-runner was in upstate Syracuse on Saturday railing against the North American Free Trade Agreement and Carrier Corp. for moving jobs out of the United States when a man in the crowd passed out.

The mogul stopped his speech and left the stage to check on the man as paramedics tended to him.

“I love that guy,” Trump told the crowd after giving a thumbs-up signal. “He’s probably been waiting here for five hours. Tough stuff.”

Trump directed much of his fury at rivals Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, whom he said “does not like New York.” He called the primary process “rigged” against him but vowed he would win the GOP nomination anyway.

“You’re going to have a rough July at that convention,” he said. “It’s totally corrupt politics.”

Cruz spent Saturday courting party leaders at the Wyoming state GOP convention, where he hoped to collect the state’s 14 delegates. He has already secured nine of them.

“The entire country, its eyes are on this state,” Cruz said. “We’re in all likelihood going to have a battle in Cleveland to determine who the nominee is.”
