How to interpret Carmelo Anthony’s ‘Knicks pride’ tweet?

Carmelo Anthony doesn’t want to go anywhere. At least, that’s what his latest tweet seems to indicate.

On Wednesday, the Knicks star tweeted a GIF of a color-morphing Knicks jersey that read: “Proud to rep these colors. No matter what. #Knicks #DestiNY #AnthoNY #StayMe7o.”

This comes on the heels of Anthony saying he wants to be part of the team’s offseason decision-making process and that he looks at the list of upcoming free agents every day. Anthony has a no-trade clause that precludes his departure without his permission. The Knicks have failed to reach the playoffs the past three seasons.

In his other social media foray of the day, Anthony offered a goodbye for friend and mentor Kobe Bryant, who is playing the final game of his career Wednesday night, along with a cigar-smoking victory photo from the 2008 Olympics.
