The IBI armored vehicle was pulling out of a garage at Metro Mall in Middle Village about 9 a.m. when it suddenly toppled onto its side.

“It happened so quick. It just pulled out of the garage and fell over,” said a security guard who witnessed the accident. “I never saw anything like it.”

Three men climbed out of the truck, and one of them appeared to sustain a foot injury, witnesses said.

The man, whose injuries were considered serious but non-life threatening, was taken to Wycoff Hospital, according to the FDNY.

None of the trucks contents spilled onto the street.
