The Bronx

A thug made off with a man’s cellphone before he and seven accomplices socked the victim in the face in a South Bronx subway station, police said. The 26-year-old victim was riding a northbound D train on Feb. 6 about 9 p.m. when a man snatched the phone out of his hand and ran out of the station with seven other people, police said. The victim followed the suspects into the mezzanine at the 161st Street–Yankee Stadium station, where the muggers punched him in the face and attempted to snatch his wallet. The suspects were captured on video surveillance as they fled into the street with the cellphone. The phone thief is described as an 18-year-old black man, approximately 6-feet tall and 150 pounds, with brown eyes and short, black, afro-style hair, last seen wearing blue jeans and a green vest.

Brooklyn

A 23-year-old man was shot to death at an East New York housing project, police said. Cops discovered Terrance Bishop with a gunshot wound to his neck lying on the first-floor hallway of the Unity Plaza Houses on Blake Avenue near Georgia Avenue on Thursday around 5 p.m. EMS rushed Bishop, who lived on the second floor of the building, to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made.

Manhattan

Two men were shot during an argument at a Harlem parking garage Thursday evening, according to authorities. A dispute between several men at the Pro Park America Parking Garage on 125th Street and Lenox Avenue became heated and gunshots started to fly around 7 p.m., police said. Abraham Orellana, 26, was hit in the leg and a second bullet grazed his head, while James Malloy, 32, was also shot in the leg, according to police. Both were transported to Harlem Hospital and are likely to survive. A person of interest, described as a 32-year-old man, walked into Harlem Hospital with a laceration to the head and is being questioned about the shooting, police sources said. Police said the victims were uncooperative with the investigation.

A man shoved a transit worker onto the subway tracks in Greenwich Village during an argument, cops said. The 41-year-old worker was arguing with two men on the northbound E train platform at the West 4th Street station around 2 a.m. on Feb. 12 about money found on the train tracks. One of the men then shoved the worker onto the tracks, causing him to injure his ankle, police said.
Both suspects fled, and the victim was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment. Police say the suspects were captured on surveillance video. Both are in their 30s, Hispanic, approximately 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds with black hair and medium complexions. They were last seen wearing black jackets.

Queens

A man crawled under the gate of a Long Island City liquor store and made off with a bottle of wine and some cash, cops said. The suspect slipped under the gate of S&A Wines and Spirits at 27-04 Queens Plaza South and shattered the glass above the front door about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The suspect grabbed a bottle of wine and $200. The suspect is black, approximately 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue jeans and white sneakers.

Staten Island

A man threatened an Arrochar bodega worker and attacked him before making off with a wad of cash from the register, cops said. The thief entered the El Jardin Deli and Grocery on Sandy Lane at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and asked the employee for change. He then displayed a knife, hopped over the counter and snatched $400 from the register before punching the employee in the face and fleeing with another person, who was a lookout. The suspect is described as a black man, approximately six feet tall, last seen wearing a dark jacket, a fur-trimmed hoodie and a Chicago Bulls baseball hat.
