Teen allegedly raped by classmates on school field trip

State police are probing the alleged rape of a 16-year-old Bronx girl on a school field trip.

The unidentified teen was attacked by a fellow student Thursday evening at the Pinegrove Family Dude Ranch in Kerhonkson, a community in upstate Ulster County, police said.

The teen and her classmates from South Bronx Preparatory School were on a trip that was supposed to teach them the virtues of working together as a team.

The girl was accosted by two male students as she walked down a hallway at the resort, according to cops. The two students dragged her to a room where the assault took place, state police told The Post.

Another version of the story had it that the student was attacked after she climbed out of a swimming pool at the resort. She was then locked inside a bathroom and fought to get out, according to the report from News12.

In both accounts, one of the male students groped and assaulted the girl.

The victim broke free and called her mother, who made the two-hour drive to the resort.

Chaperones on the field trip asked Pinegrove to call the police on Thursday but didn’t tell staffers at the ranch what happened, a spokesman for the ranch told The Post.

It’s the chaperones’ responsibility to oversee the kids, the spokesman added.

The girl accused the two classmates of assaulting her. State police only charged one of the boys, saying the other did not participate in the incident.

The alleged attacker was arraigned in Town of Rockland court on charges of wrongful imprisonment and sexual assault.

His bail was set at $5,000. Police would not release the suspect’s name or age. It’s unclear if he made bail.

As rumors about the incident spread, the victim de-activated her Facebook account, according to South Bronx Preparatory students on Saturday.

The girl has already been granted a transfer to a new school, News12 reported.

The dude ranch, which bills itself as a family resort, is a popular spot for school field trips from the five boroughs and Long Island.

The school, in Mott Haven, has about 660 students. Ninety-seven percent of its students are economically disadvantaged, according to the state Education Department.
