Yasiel Puig overreacting to LA traffic with $350K helicopter

You thought your cars were cool, Yoenis Cespedes?

Dodgers star Yasiel Puig is one-upping the Mets outfielder’s daily auto show, reportedly preparing to buy a helicopter to get him to the stadium in a timely fashion.

That’s one way to beat Los Angeles’ notoriously awful traffic.

Puig hasn’t yet bought the chopper, but Cespedes’ bud Alex Vega, a personal vehicle customizer, told TMZ that the purchase is coming, and it’s predictably grandiose.

According to the same man who’s tricked out ride after ride for Cespedes, the helicopter is expected to be a Robinson R44 that Vega and crew will overhaul. Vega said it’ll cost about $350,000.

But maybe Puig thinks it’ll pay for itself? The flighty outfielder was fined less than $10,000 for being late to the ballpark before a game in 2013. In April 2014, Puig was benched for again being tardy to the field.

So his traffic excuses are out the window. Now the question becomes: Where will he land it? The Dodger Stadium grounds crew likely is following this story closely.
